This May, the nib Newcastle Knights are proud to spotlight Jenny's Place as their Charity of the Month, reinforcing a commitment to supporting local organisations that make a significant impact on the community.
Established in 1977, Jenny's Place is Newcastle's first women's refuge, providing crisis accommodation and support services to women and children escaping domestic and family violence.
Over the years, it has expanded its services to include a Domestic Violence Resource Centre and outreach programs, assisting countless individuals in rebuilding their lives.
To support this vital work, the Wests Group and Newcastle Knights have contributed a $30,000 ClubGRANTs donation to Jenny's Place.

This funding aids in maintaining and expanding their services, ensuring that those in need have access to safe shelter and essential support.
Knights NRLW player Botille Vette-Welsh visited Jenny's Place to witness firsthand the positive impact of the donation.
During her visit, she engaged with staff and residents, gaining insight into the challenges faced by survivors of domestic violence and the crucial role Jenny's Place plays in their recovery.
"As a Club, we have a platform and a responsibility to make a positive impact in the community," Vette-Welsh said.
"By supporting services like Jenny's Place, we are helping create a safe and supportive environment for people in the community, but most importantly women and children who are fleeing from domestic violence situations."
This initiative is part of the Knights' broader community engagement strategy, which includes partnerships with various local charities and organisations.
Through programs like the Charity of the Month, the Knights aim to raise awareness and provide support to causes that resonate with their values and the needs of the Newcastle community.
By highlighting Jenny's Place, the Newcastle Knights encourage fans and community members to learn more about the organisation's mission and consider contributing to their ongoing efforts to combat domestic and family violence in the region.
